Privacy policy

This policy explains how Microbait collects, uses and protects the personal data of visitors and customers under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Polish data protection law.

  2. §2

    What data we collect

    Order data (name, address, email, phone, items ordered) — needed to fulfil your order. Payment is processed by Shopify Payments / Stripe / PayPal; we do not store card numbers. We also store your message if you write to us via the contact page.

    Why we use it

    To process orders, ship parcels, issue invoices, answer your messages, and comply with Polish tax and accounting law. If you opt in, we will also send you a low-frequency newsletter.

    Legal basis

    Performance of contract (orders), legal obligation (invoicing and tax records), legitimate interest (fraud prevention, replying to enquiries), consent (newsletter, optional analytics cookies).

  5. §5

    How long we keep it

    Order and invoice records: 5 years (Polish tax law). Contact messages: 2 years. Newsletter consent: until you unsubscribe.

  6. §6

    Who we share it with

    Shopify (commerce platform), our shipping carriers (InPost, DPD, DHL — for delivery only), our accountant (for tax reporting), and our email provider. We never sell your data.

  7. §7

    Your rights

    Under GDPR you can request access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection. To exercise any of these, write to tomasz.szadkowski@microbait.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Polish data protection authority (UODO).

  8. §8

    Cookies

    We use strictly necessary cookies for the cart and checkout. Analytics cookies (if enabled) load only after you accept them via the cookie banner.
